I had a whale of a time in Sydney last weekend when I joined Oz Whale Watching as a guest on one of their tours, it was a humbling experience. I joined their Saturday morning breakfast cruise which left the docks at Darling Harbour around 8am. The catamaran was spacious and I found a seat on the upper deck, as we made our way up the harbour to the ‘heads’ (harbour entrance). A weekend in Yamba
A long weekend means it’s time to get away, so last week I drove south to Yamba - I’d heard a lot of good things and was keen to explore. It was a beautiful drive, and on the way I stopped at Bangalow for lunch at Choux Choux Patisserie. I crossed the Clarence River several times on some rather striking bridges, including Harwood Bridge which lifts up to let boats pass underneath. Tips for a weekend in Port Douglas
Port Douglas is No. 3 on Australian Traveller magazine's list of 100 Best Towns in Australia.
